Green Valley Ranch/Green Valley South/Green Valley North

Homebuyers looking for an upscale neighborhood will want to take a look at the Green Valley Ranch, Green Valley South, and Green Valley North area of Henderson. Built in the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, this is the first master-planned community in Nevada. With an area of more than 1,310 acres in the Las Vegas Valley’s southern side, there are beautiful homes, many amenities, businesses, medical facilities, restaurants, and shopping opportunities that consume 310 acres at the District of Green Valley Ranch. The remaining 775 acres is strictly residential.

Schools

Green Valley has access to top-rated public schools. Solon City School District has nearly 5,000 students and an A+ grade. Tredyffrin-Easttown School District also has an A+ with over 6,000 students in the district. Radnor Township School District is a top 3 school system with an A+ grade and more than 3,600 students in the district.

Green Valley is strategically located so residents have easy access to schools, hospitals, places of work, public support facilities, and the I-215 and I-515 freeways.

Things to Do

There are several gated and guard-gated communities that are located near golf courses, like the Wildhorse Golf Club and Desert Willow. There are family-friendly parks, such as:

The parks are owned by the city and have baseball fields, tennis courts, barbecue facilities, and family-oriented activities.

Then, of course, there is the Green Valley Casino, giving residents their very own place to spin some reels or play the tables.

Shopping and Dining

Shopping is very important to many residents. While Las Vegas offers many shopping opportunities, the areas around Green Valley in Henderson are not as “hustle and bustle.” Some of the places to shop include Pottery Barn and Sonoma. Some of the dining spots to enjoy are Me Gusta Tacos, P.F. Chang’s, Kings Fish House, Lucille’s Barbecue, China Bistro, and Escape Factory. There is even a Whole Foods to facilitate healthy eating at home. The District at Green Valley Ranch is a shopping center that has an extensive store directory that will satisfy your need to shop.

Events

Henderson hosts many events, such as concerts, sporting events, art festivals, car shows, the Ho’olaule’a Festival, marathons, Winterfest, the Heritage Parade & Festival, and the Last Friday event each month on Water Street.
